Interswitch Limited and Nestlé Nigeria Plc have joined the growing list of corporate sponsors for the sixth National Advertising Conference (NAC), scheduled to hold from November 11 to 13, 2026, at the Abuja Continental Hotel.
The conference, organised under the theme “Repositioning the Marketing Communications Industry for the Next Frontier,” will bring together stakeholders across advertising, marketing, media, business and regulation to discuss developments shaping Nigeria’s marketing communications industry.
The two companies will support the event alongside Tolaram Group Nigeria, which has been named lead sponsor, Four Pulley Limited (FPL), the platinum partner, and Tropical General Investments Group (TGI), confirmed as Gold Sponsor. The announcements signal growing corporate participation ahead of the three-day gathering.
Uduak Bassey, Chairman of the NAC Marketing Sub-Committee, welcomed the companies’ support, describing collaboration, innovation and shared commitment across the business ecosystem as important to the future of marketing communications.
The mix of sponsors spans payments, consumer goods and other business sectors, reflecting the conference’s relevance beyond advertising agencies and media organisations.
For participating companies, the event provides an opportunity to engage with industry leaders and contribute to discussions on the business and regulatory environment in which brands communicate with consumers.
A key focus of NAC 2026 will be the industry’s readiness for emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence and digital advertising.
The Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) is expected to present proposals for a regulatory framework addressing these areas, following work with industry stakeholders.
The proposals are intended to respond to the challenges and opportunities created by changing advertising technologies. The planned presentation comes amid growing concerns about AI-generated advertisements that impersonate public figures or promote misleading products.
For advertisers, agencies, media owners and digital platforms, the proposed framework could help clarify expectations around advertising approval, accountability and responsible use of emerging technologies.
The specific provisions, however, will become clearer when the proposals are presented.
The conference will also provide a forum for discussing changing consumer behaviour, innovation and the future direction of the marketing communications sector.
Its theme reflects the need for industry participants to assess how technological developments and evolving market expectations may affect creative work, media planning, advertising regulation and brand communication.
